Prairie Vista Middle School, represented by its entire staff, parents, and students believe their purpose is to develop students who are prepared to succeed in high school. We believe that student success is based on the ability to think critically, write clearly, and apply learning to real world situations. We believe that student success requires us to provide many alternative learning opportunities, and we continually expand our curriculum so that we can unlock the creativity and talents of each of our students.
Students receive experiences in a variety of skills in our exploratory program which includes visual arts, music/theater arts, technology, basic skills, and Character Counts.
To balance our students’ academic life, we offer extra curricular and after school programs such as basketball, soccer, after school study center, tutoring and dance club. Activities Directors coordinate and run Prairie Vista Middle School’s reward programs. These reward programs include Honor Roll and Principal’s List status, Multicultural Assemblies, Student of the Month, Trimester rewards, Graduation awards, the Hartman Scholarship, and CAMS Finalist Awards.
